Cell Phone Goodies

Save money and be safer on the road with a free wireless “hands-free” headset from FreeHeadset.org. This site promotes safer driving by distributing headsets for hundreds of cell phones. The only charge is a $3.94 shipping charge.

Since their inception in 2003, they have distributed over 200,000 headsets nationwide. They have been written about in the New York Times, Popular Science Magazine and featured on the CBS News. You can access their media stories on their website.

Select the make and model of your phone on the website. They offer two types - an earbud with a hanging microphone that is at about neck level and the other type is a microphone that wraps around your head.

For $3.94, get one for you and for someone you love.

Do you have an old cellphone? These two sites will buy it from you: www.Flipswap.com and www.CellForCash.com

Simply type in the make and model of your phone to see how much they will buy it for. You can print a shipping label from the site.  Before you mail it, make sure you remove the auxillary memory card, and reset the password to 0000 and delete all the information or remove the SIM card.

Cell for Cash will only buy back the phone however FlipSwap offers you a few choices. You can donate the proceeds to charity and FlipSwap will do the work, exchange the phone for store credit at a participating retailer, or sell the phone for cash.
